This page explains how this website handles the information you enter.

The booking form

Your journey details prepare a WhatsApp message or email draft on your device. This site does not keep a booking database or save form entries in browser storage. The WhatsApp button opens your request in WhatsApp. “Book this journey by email” opens your email app with a message to stirlingarkcabs@gmail.com. In either case, you review and send the request yourself.

Automatic address suggestions

After you type at least three characters in a pickup or drop-off field and pause briefly, that address text is sent to Photon for UK address suggestions, with Stirling prioritised. A local address index also helps show Stirling businesses and venues quickly. When you enter a full postcode, it is also sent to the Food Standards Agency to find published business addresses. For Great Britain postcodes, Postcodes.io supplies a map search centre, which is used to find nearby mapped premises through Photon. We only show a postcode match when the address source includes that exact postcode. Your name and phone number are not sent in these searches. Address data may be incomplete. Postcodes are added from available address data when you select a suggestion, or from a postcode you type yourself.

Address data sources

Local place information includes published Food Standards Agency and Stirling Council business addresses, retrieved on 19 October 2026, under the Open Government Licence v3.0. It also includes © OpenStreetMap contributors data under ODbL, provided through Photon. These open datasets may not include every property; passengers can enter any missing address manually. View the local address dataset and its source information. The Crossed Peels (Wetherspoon) address is checked against the pub’s official listing. The Stirling train station address is checked against ScotRail’s station information. Postcode coordinates are provided by Postcodes.io. Local booking suggestions also include operator-supplied business destinations and the listed Dundas Road addresses in Causewayhead, checked on 20 October 2026 against the address lists for FK9 5QR and FK9 5QS. These are stored with the site so they remain selectable when a live search is unavailable. Unlisted flat numbers are not inferred.

University locations

The university picker uses the University of Stirling’s published residence addresses and residence list, checked on 19 October 2026. Flat and room numbers are supplied by the passenger. The university bus hub is listed as a meeting point opposite Stirling Court Hotel; no separate postcode is inferred. These location references do not imply affiliation with the university.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp handles information under its own privacy policy. After you send your request, Stirling Ark Cabs receives it to discuss your fare, availability and booking. Please include only information needed for your journey.

Email bookings

You can book by emailing stirlingarkcabs@gmail.com. Your email provider handles the draft and sent message under its own privacy terms. Stirling Ark Cabs receives the details you send to arrange your journey and reply to you.

Other services

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and is hosted through Sites. These providers may receive technical connection information, such as your IP address. This site does not add analytics, advertising trackers or its own cookies.
